Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly energetic individual to join our team of dental professionals to join our healthcare team. The dental call center scheduler's primary role is to provide outstanding customer service while efficiently running the appointment book for our dentist. Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Practice Web
- Manage multi-line phone systems, providing excellent patient service with professional phone etiquette
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including insurance verification for dental plans
- Schedule patients appointments according to their needs.
- Maintain appointment book by following up on No Shows and canceled appointments,
- Coordinate care plans and follow-up appointments to optimize patient care delivery
- Handle intake procedures for new patients and update existing patient information
- Maintain organized filing of medical and dental records, ensuring confidentiality and security of health information
- Support front desk operations, including billing support, appointment confirmations, and general administrative tasks
- Maintain a clean patient waiting area and front desk.
- Assist with Administrative assignments as directed by the office manager and Dr.
- Participate and support marketing initiative for recalls and new patient growths
Qualifications
- Prior experience in dental office administration, scheduling, or reception is required
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Practice Web and Easy Dental
- High School Dipolma or GED
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to health information management and patient privacy
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and appointment coordination
- Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Ability to multitask effectively in a clinic environment while maintaining high levels of accuracy and customer service standards
- Must have a passion to provide excellent customer service.
- 1 year of Dental terminology
- Have own transportation
- Bilingual Spanish is a major plus for this role, as we serve Spanish speakers very often
