About the Role
Join our friendly, patient-focused practice as a Pediatric Dental Assistant where teamwork and positive energy drive every interaction. You'll support our dentists in delivering exceptional care to young patients, ensuring a comfortable and reassuring experience for children and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Place dental sealants and assist with stainless steel crowns (SSCs)
- Support pulpotomy procedures and space maintainer placements
- Manage patient behavior and create a calm environment for pediatric patients
- Communicate treatment plans and post-care instructions to parents/guardians
- Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
- Maintain sterilization protocols and prepare operatories for each appointment
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a dental assistant, preferably in a pediatric setting
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Dental X-ray certification preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to comfort anxious children
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
- Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
Schedule & Compensation
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday (flexible)
- Hourly pay range: $20 - $24 per hour
