About the role
Overview
The Hills Dental Spa is growing, and we’re looking for a highly skilled dental assistant to join our private practice in the Austin/Lakeway area. Our sole focus is TMJ care and cosmetic dentistry, including comprehensive smile reconstruction. We help patients feel better and look better, and our assistants play an important role in how patients experience that care.
We’re looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, and takes pride in being prepared. You communicate clearly with patients and teammates, stay composed when the schedule gets busy, and step in when someone needs help. You’re comfortable anticipating the doctor’s needs chairside and helping patients feel at ease through longer, more involved appointments.
Responsibilities
- Assist chairside during TMJ and cosmetic procedures, including complex restorative cases.
- Prepare rooms, instruments, and materials so appointments run smoothly.
- Help capture clinical photos and records and keep the team informed about what each patient needs.
- Support patients throughout their visits with clear explanations, a calm presence, and attention to detail.
- Utilize Eaglesoft for patient records and scheduling.
- Operate advanced technology including medit scanner, CBCT, and digital radiographs during clinical procedures.
Requirements
- Strong chairside skills and hands-on dental assisting experience.
- Clear, professional communication with patients, doctors, and teammates.
- A team-first approach, reliable follow-through, and the maturity to take ownership of your work.
- Experience with TMJ, cosmetic, or complex restorative dentistry is a plus.
- Experience: minimum of 5 years as a RDA
- Licensure/Certifications: active RDA license, CPR/BLS
About the Company
We are a private fee for service dental office, that utilizes advanced technology. We typically see patients Monday through Thursday. If you enjoy giving your best on patient days and value having time for life outside the practice, we’d love to meet you.
