Overview
- Job Title: Part-Time Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
- Location: South San Francisco, CA
- Job Type: Part-time, permanent
- Pay: Starting at $75 per hour, depending on experience
- Schedule: Thursday to Saturday. Weekday hours are 10am–6pm and Saturday hours are 9am–5pm. More days may become available in the future.
About the Company
Dela Rama Dental Care is a general and family dental practice in South San Francisco. We’re a small, close team with three doctors, and we’re building the practice around clear systems and good communication, so everyone knows what’s expected and how the day runs. Hygiene is a real priority for us, and we treat our hygienists as key members of the care team.
About the Role
We’re looking for a licensed RDH to run our hygiene schedule Thursday through Saturday. You’ll have the time to do thorough work, and the doctors and assistants will support you.
Responsibilities
- Perform prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and periodontal maintenance
- Take and review digital radiographs and complete intraoral scans
- Complete periodontal charting and screenings
- Educate patients on home care and their treatment needs
- Flag findings for the doctor and help patients understand recommended treatment
- Document clearly in the patient chart and follow our infection control protocols
Requirements
- Current California RDH license
- Local anesthesia and nitrous oxide certification (California)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- New grads are welcome to apply. Experience with digital x-rays and intraoral scanning is helpful, but we’ll train the right person.
- Gentle chairside manner, good communication, and reliability
- Someone who works well on a team and follows office protocols
- Speaking a second language is not required but is a plus, especially Tagalog
