Overview
Temp RDH – Temescal, Oakland | Monday–Friday
Total Health Dental Care is looking for a Registered Dental Hygienist to cover a Monday–Friday schedule at our Temescal office. Start date is ASAP.
- Location: 407 41st Street, Oakland, CA 94609 (cross streets Webster St & Shafter Ave). On site parking for staff.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, full days 7:40am - 4:40pm
About the Company
Temescal is a friendly, established office with a steady patient base. You’ll work alongside another hygienist, a dentist, an RDA and a front desk coordinator. We don’t run on quotas. We want our hygienists focused on quality care and making patients feel comfortable.
Responsibilities
- Perform adult and pediatric prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and scaling and root planing (SRP)
- Complete comprehensive periodontal charting and clinical assessments
- Take and review high-quality digital radiographs
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and home care techniques
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date electronic clinical notes
- Strictly adhere to all OSHA, CDC, and infection control safety protocols
Requirements
- Active California RDH license in good standing, current CPR/BLS, and local anesthesia and nitrous certification.
- Recent clinical experience preferred.
- You need to be reliable, on time, and comfortable working with patients of all ages.
Ideal candidate: Lives within a reasonable commute of North Oakland.

- Patient Appointment Pace: 60 minute to ensure high-quality, patient-focused care without feeling rushed.
