Dental Assistant in Specialty Practice | $24-$29/hr | Four days a week

Overview

We are an established specialty dental practice in Central New Jersey with over 30 years of experience delivering care in endodontics, periodontics, and implant dentistry. We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Chairside Dental Assistant to join our clinical team in providing exceptional surgical and restorative patient care in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist chairside with endodontic, periodontal, implant, and surgical procedures using four-handed dentistry
• Prepare and break down treatment rooms, including instrument setup and supplies
• Follow sterilization, infection control, and OSHA/HIPAA protocols
• Take radiographs and other diagnostic records
• Review post-operative instructions with patients and help them feel comfortable and informed
• Keep operatories clean and well-stocked, and flag low supplies
• Document accurately in the patient chart
• Communicate clearly with the clinical and front office teams to keep the schedule on time

Requirements

• Dental assisting experience required; specialty experience (endo, perio, oral surgery) is a plus
• NJ radiography certification and CPR required, or the ability to obtain promptly
• Strong knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Dependable, punctual, and professional, with excellent communication skills
• Comfortable with dental software and basic computer tasks
• Looking for a long-term position
• Schedule: Four days a week, patient hours are 8:30am-4:30pm. We alternate the day off between Mon and Fri
