Job Overview
We are a patient-focused general dentistry practice in South Austin (78745) seeking an experienced Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) for an immediate start. This is a non-entry-level, on-site position for a clinically confident professional who values quality patient care, efficiency, and compliance.
Qualified RDAs only. This role is not entry-level.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide chairside assisting during general dentistry exams and procedures
- Take and process dental radiographs in compliance with Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE) regulations
- Prepare treatment rooms, dental trays, and materials
- Perform instrument cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization per OSHA standards
- Maintain operatory readiness and infection control protocols
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Support patient flow and front-office workflow as needed
Required Qualifications
- Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) – Texas (strongly preferred)
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on chairside dental assisting experience (required)
- Current CPR certification
- Hepatitis B vaccination
- Working knowledge of TSBDE, OSHA, and HIPAA requirements
- Strong communication skills and professional chairside manner
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
