Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA/EFDA) – $26-30/hr | Team-Oriented, Tech-Driven Practice
Join a patient-focused, team-oriented dental practice equipped with state-of-the-art technology. We’re seeking a skilled Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA/EFDA) with a minimum of 1+ years of EDDA experience to support our modern, conservative care philosophy and help patients feel right at home.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operatories for treatment and sterilize instruments
- Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
- Take and develop X-rays and intraoral photos
- Accurately document and maintain patient health information
- Provide patient education and post-operative instructions
- Perform lab duties: pour models, take impressions, fabricate temporary crowns
- Place temporary and permanent restorations; shape to proper contour
- Remove sutures and place rubber dams as directed
- Apply sealants, fluoride treatments, and coronal polishing
- Monitor and administer nitrous oxide
Compensation & Benefits
- Tuesday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Wednesday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Thursday & Friday: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
- Hourly pay range: 26–30 USD
Requirements
- 2+ years of EDDA experience required
- Radiology certification and CPR/BLS certification required
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
- Proficiency in dental patient management software (e.g., Open Dental, Dentrix)
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Experience with prosthodontic restorations and clear aligners (Invisalign) is a plus
