Role Overview
Oral and maxillofacial surgery practice seeking an Experienced Oral Surgery Assistant to join our growing, patient-centered practice. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced OMS setting and is passionate about delivering outstanding patient care. You will play a critical role in supporting oral surgery procedures, maintaining clinical excellence, and ensuring every patient receives compassionate, high-quality care in a professional surgical environment
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms for oral and maxillofacial procedures
- Assist the surgeon during operations by anticipating needs, handling instruments, and managing suction and irrigation
- Monitor patient vital signs and provide chairside support to guarantee patient comfort and safety
- Maintain accurate patient records, including procedure notes, instrument logs, and sterilization documentation
- Uphold strict infection control protocols and ensure compliance with all safety regulations
- Collaborate with the clinical team to foster a positive, friendly, and efficient practice environment
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of chairside experience in an oral and maxillofacial surgery practice, including extractions, implants, and IV sedation procedures
- Knowledge of surgical instruments, sterilization techniques, and infection control standards
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, learning-focused environment
- Certifications as required by state and professional guidelines
