Key Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and preventative treatments
- Take and review radiographs to assess oral health
- Educate patients on oral hygiene best practices and preventive care
- Review medical and dental histories to identify risks
- Assist the dentist with exams and treatment planning
- Maintain accurate, timely patient records
- Adhere to infection control and safety standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Dental Hygienist
- Valid Dental Hygienist license
- CPR certification (required)
- Preferred certifications: Laser Certification, Local Anesthesia, Nitrous Oxide Monitoring
- Commitment to continuing education credits
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Professional, friendly, and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a busy practice
