Your Role as a Dental Hygienist
As a Dental Hygienist at Buchanan Dentistry, you’ll deliver exceptional preventive care with the dedicated support of a dental assistant through our Team (Assisted) Hygiene model. You will manage a well-booked schedule, equipped with the best tools and systems to ensure clinical excellence and a positive patient journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive preventive and periodontal care, including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing (SRP), gingivitis scaling, Trios scans, sealants, and fluoride treatments.
- Collaborate with a dedicated dental assistant to optimize your schedule, manage sterilization, and support patient care and documentation.
- Partner with dentists during hygiene exams to identify and recommend necessary treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Proactively drive hygiene production by maximizing chair time, recommending appropriate preventive care, and supporting same-day treatment opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with patients through clear communication and personalized education.
Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited dental hygiene program.
- Current and active Nevada hygiene license.
- Current Nevada Anesthesia license.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Proficiency with digital charting, x-rays, and intraoral cameras.
- Availability for a full-time schedule (32–40 hours/week).
Compensation & Benefits
