Overview
We are seeking a dedicated cross trained general Assistant to support our dynamic dental practice. Key Responsibilities
- Chair side assistance for general dentistry procedures including: Extractions, crowns, composite, hygiene etc.
- Patient care coordination and compassionate communication
- Sterilization and infection control duties
- Mostly digital and rarely traditional impression taking
- X-ray acquisition and processing using a Nomad
- CEREC digital impressions - willing to train if no experience in this area.
For Front Desk:
- Greet patients, manage phones, emails, and daily front desk operations with professionalism and warmth.
- Verify insurance, submit claims, track payments, and handle pre-authorizations
- Present treatment plans, review financial estimates, and coordinate patient scheduling.
- Maintain accurate patient records, forms, and HIPAA compliance.
- Keep the schedule full and balanced for both hygiene and doctor production.
- Support recall and follow-up systems to help patients complete recommended care.
- Cross-train with clinical team for occasional chairside, sterilization, or operatory setup assistance.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of dental assistant experience
- Coronal Polish Certification (preferred)
- CPR/BLS certification (required)
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Adaptable team player with attention to detail
