Family Dentistry on Manchaca has an opening for an experienced Dental Assistant looking for their new work home. The ideal candidate is someone who wants to establish themselves long term and take on additional responsibilities as team experience grows.

Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2+ years experience in dental back office (required)
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role (required)
- Proficiency using iTero for scanning (preferred)
- Proficiency in making temporary crowns (preferred)
- Proficiency in placing attachments (preferred)
- Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques
- Familiarity with Open Dental and Flex (preferred)
- Strong communication skills with patients of all ages
- Commitment to patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Certification in Dental Assisting
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials
- Take X-rays and understand radiographic principles
- Maintain infection control protocols and compliance with aseptic techniques
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Perform administrative tasks including scheduling appointments as needed
- Ensure the dental office is clean, organized, and well-stocked
