Experienced Dental Assistant – Seattle Special Care Dentistry
Seattle Special Care Dentistry is a multi-specialty private dental practice located near University Village. We provide compassionate, expert care to patients with complex medical conditions, disabilities, or dental anxiety. We are currently seeking an Experienced Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. Our practice is fast-paced, rewarding, and deeply focused on patient-centered care.
Position Overview
This is a full-time role for a Dental Assistant with at least 1 year of experience. You’ll work primarily with one doctor per day (rotating through different providers during the week) and may occasionally assist with hygiene charting during downtime, though most of that is handled by our sterile techs. We offer a supportive work environment, structured onboarding, and opportunities to grow.
Schedule
Full-time (30–40 hours per week) Closed Saturdays and Sundays Typical schedules include: 5x 8-hour days or 4x 10-hour days
Key Responsibilities
- Chairside assisting with 4-handed dentistry
- Fabricating temporary crowns
- Taking dental impressions and pouring models
- Placing rubber dams
- Supporting hygienists with perio charting as needed
- Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Able to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic; punctual, responsible, and proactive
- Proficient in assisting with 4-handed dentistry
- Skilled in temporary crowns, impressions, model pouring, and rubber dam placement
- Experience with DSN is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right candidate
Compensation & Benefits
27–35/hour DOE- Full medical and dental coverage (after 90 days)
- 401(k) with 4% match (after 1 year)
