Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team at Colorado Springs Complete Dentistry. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care, possess excellent communication skills, and have a strong commitment to maintaining the highest standards in dental hygiene. Key Responsibilities:

Comprehensive Dental Hygiene Procedures: Conduct thorough dental hygiene procedures including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth using advanced equipment. Utilize digital imaging technology to take and develop dental x-rays.

Patient Evaluation and Education: Evaluate patients' oral health conditions and provide tailored treatment recommendations. Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies to promote long-term dental health.

Scheduling and Record Maintenance: Ensure all patients leave with their subsequent appointment scheduled using our advanced scheduling system. Accurately maintain patient records and develop personalized treatment plans in our digital platform.

Supportive Role: Assist the dentist during procedures by preparing necessary tools and materials. Participate actively in team meetings to promote a higher level of focus on patient care.

Requirements:

Licensing and Software Proficiency: Must hold a valid Dental Hygiene license in Colorado. Proficient in using dental software such as Dentrix for patient records and scheduling.

Experience and Knowledge: Experience working with patients of all ages, including pediatrics. Familiarity with dental office procedures, equipment, infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, HIPAA regulations, and patient privacy guidelines.

Skills: Ability to take and record vital signs accurately. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, and organizational abilities.

General Expectations:

Scheduling Efficiency: Prioritize schedule management to ensure efficient patient flow and productivity. Complete daily chart preparations and maintain an organized schedule for patient appointments.

Patient Care Commitment: Provide the highest level of care while supporting the doctor’s diagnosis. Engage in exceptional patient education including oral hygiene instructions.

Collaboration with Front Office Team: Participate in monthly synergy meetings with the front office team for effective partnership. Assist with rescheduling or reengaging patients who have missed appointments.

System Support: Commit fully to supporting Colorado Springs Complete Dentistry systems for consistency and measurable results.

Professional Development: Stay informed about the latest dental services, materials, and technology through continuing education programs.

Team Collaboration: Demonstrate commitment as a team player by assisting whenever possible for the best patient experience. Cross-train with front office staff for comprehensive support when needed.
