Join Our Dental Team as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) - Competitive Salary & Benefits!
Introduction:
We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and professional Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional care and helping our patients achieve optimal oral health. As an RDH, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dental services and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. Our practice is a holistic and biological dental office incorporating ozone therapy.
Hours:
Monday through Thursday: 7:45 AM – 5:15 PM (1-hour lunch break)
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth
- Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and oral health evaluations
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and the use of oral care products
- Apply fluoride treatments and sealants to protect teeth
- Assist in periodontal therapy, including charting gum health and monitoring changes
- Administer ozone therapy under the guidance of the dentist
- Assist in periodontal laser therapy
- Administer local anesthesia (if applicable based on state licensure)
- Collaborate with dentists and other team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Ensure all dental equipment is sterilized and maintained according to safety standards
- Stay current with dental advancements and best practices through continuing education
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- CPR certification
- Strong understanding of dental and periodontal care, anatomy, and patient safety
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively educate and build rapport with patients
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with dental software and X-ray systems
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to multitask
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with laser dentistry or other specialized hygiene treatments
- Previous experience in a dental practice setting
Compensation:
• 55–
60/hr base
• 25% of production over goal
